Date and scope

This notice takes effect on September 29, 2026, and was last updated that same day. It covers every page of gudzen.store, the site of an interior remodeling and finishing crew in Austin, Texas. It sits alongside the privacy policy, which covers what the inquiry form and chat keep on our server. This page covers only what lands in your browser.

The three kinds of storage

Strictly necessary. Your consent choice, and the chat token if you open a conversation. Without the first, the banner would ask you on every page. Without the second, closing the chat panel would lose the thread. Neither is shared with anyone and neither needs consent.

Analytics. Google's measurement cookies, which count visits and which pages get read. We use them to see whether people actually reach the price basis on the services page or leave before it. Set only when you allow storage.

Advertising. The Google Ads, Microsoft Advertising and Meta cookies that tie an ad click to an inquiry. They tell us which ad is worth paying for. Set only when you allow storage, and never while your browser sends Global Privacy Control.

Every key, by name

Every row set by Google, Microsoft or Meta is a cookie. The three site_ and gudzen_ keys are localStorage entries, which never travel to a server with each request.

Lifetimes for third-party cookies are the platforms' own defaults and they can change them. The first three rows are ours and fixed.

Ad clicks and their identifiers

We pay for ads today. Google Ads and Microsoft Advertising send traffic to this site, and Meta Ads does when a campaign is running there. Someone searching "drywall repair austin tx" or "handyman services austin texas" and tapping our ad arrives with an identifier in the link:

Before you choose, the identifier sits in the address bar and nowhere else. After Allow, the platform's tag can write it into the cookies in the table and report that the click became an inquiry. After Decline, it is not written anywhere by the tags. Paying a platform for clicks is all the relationship is. No platform has reviewed or vouched for this site or this crew.

Consent Mode v2

The first thing the page does, before any tag loads, is set Google Consent Mode v2 to its default: ad_storage, ad_user_data, ad_personalization and analytics_storage all denied. Ad data redaction is switched on at the same time, so click identifiers are stripped from anything sent while those signals stand.

Press Allow and all four are updated to granted. Press Decline, or change your mind later, and all four are set back to denied at once, and the script deletes the _ga, _gcl, _uet, MUID, _fbp and _fbc cookies it can reach on this domain. With Global Privacy Control on, Allow grants analytics_storage only; the three ad signals stay denied.

Giving, changing and withdrawing consent

Consent is given with the Allow button in the banner at the bottom of the screen. The banner never covers the page; you can read and use the whole site with it still open. To change your answer later, use the Cookie settings button in the footer of any page, or the two buttons here. Withdrawing is as quick as giving: one press.

Clearing this site's data in your browser settings also removes the choice, and the banner asks again on your next visit. A stored choice expires after 12 months.

If you decline

Everything that matters still works. You can read the services and pricing bases, send the inquiry form, open the chat and call the crew. The estimate you get is the same either way.

What stops: no analytics cookies, no advertising cookies, and no conversion reported to Google, Microsoft or Meta. We lose the ability to tell which ad brought you. That costs us some ad money. It costs you nothing.
